I am currently doing a degree after working full time for 5yrs . does that mean i dont pay tax?

(uk only) i have been working full time since i finished school. but just decided to go to uni to do a degree in computing. i currently work part time in a bar at the moment. is it true that i should not pay tax as i am a full time student?

any help in this matter would be aprreiciated.

Answers:
you are not eligible to pay tax if your total earnings are less than your personal allowance, which is 5035 for this year.if you are earning up to 5035 pounds then they will not charge you tax, if they do then you can reclaim that tax back.Similarly you can claimback for your excess deduction as well, for the last three years. hopes this satisfy your question
Yes. If you work part time as a full time student you are not supposed to pay tax.
If you work full during Term time then you have to pay tax. You can work full time only on school breaks (term break).

Hope this helps.
yes. we have a nation full of tax dodgers as a result
