Can you get a bus pass if you are on the lowest rate off disability living allowance?
Answers:
Ive just texted my partner,he is a bus driver. He said yes you can.I have a company pass and so do my kids.He knows about bus passes,he sees enough of them!
only if its consists of lower or higher rate for getting around, not just for personal care
my son is on lower rate for getting around and higher for care so he is entilied to a free bus pass
You should be able to have a freedom pass if you suffer from an illness or disability try your local town hall or one stop shop
you don't need to be on any form of allowance to claim, I filled in a form from the bus company, wrote a covering letter to my doctor asking to sign it,handing the completed letter and form in, I was told to call back after a week or so, when i did the application was signed, I then tuck the completed form back to the bus company office's, they gave me my pass, it last's for a year and at the end they will renew it
No, sorry you need to be on the higher Mobility Component to qualify.
If your mobility is not that good, you could apply to the Department of Work & Pensions - Warbreck House, Warbreck Road, Blackpool and seek a review of your entitlement. You have the right to appeal against this fresh decision if you don't agree with it.
