What alternatives are there to posting my letter with Royal Mail?

Answers:
email, business post,or take it yourself
yeah take it yourself lazy
What about FAxing it?

If it is urgent an overnight delivery service like UPS would do that.

What about an email?
Taking it there yourself?
Least you know its arrived and not dumped in a field somewhere!
Make a phone call/ walk to the address and talk to them or e-mail them

or just buy a pidgeon train it to take messages to them lol(could take a few yrs tho')
carrier pigion!
Shout really loud!
or throw really far and accurate!
Don't know if it will be of any use, but try this link. http://www.psc.gov.uk/postal-licences-an.
You could always use a courier service like Federal Express
It depends where in the world you are and where you are sending your letter.
A megaphone
Set up your own postal and courier service, make a mint on it like the privately-owned "Royal" Mail does, use it to deliver your own stuff whilst you're at it. Copyright the colour blue, too ("Royal" Mail does that with the colour red!), it could help your cause. You could post all your mail from abroad to UK, "R"M would only deliver in that case, by arrangement with the overseas post office. Private post offices do OK in Spain, New Zealand, Australia - so why not here in UK. Alternatively you could do your own delivering. Alternatively you could email, telegram, place an ad, start rumours of your message or, as I often feel like doing at the post office, just shout.
WISH THERE WAS JUST THIS MORNING PHONED BT DURHAM TO SEE IF THEY HAD RECEIVED A LETTER POSTED 12TH AND THEY SAID YES I9TH WHAT SERVICE FROM SOUTH ENGLAND
