How could I start my own nursing/caring agency?
I have looked through lots of websites but they all lead me to American sites and I'm in the UK. I tried to call social service but noone is helpful enough as to point me in the right direction!
I'm a qualified nurse, have a small amount of money to invest, people interested etc.. Please help me, this has been my dream since I was little. Thank you

You first need to contact CSCI ( commission for social care and inspectorate) they are the body that regulates.
You will need to register with them at a cost, you will have to prove the company will be financially viable and send detailed information on bamk accounts, premises, intended client group and other info.
You will have to have a fit person interview with them to prove you are a suitable person to manager the business, you will have to have a CRB done through CSCI
Once you have registered I would advise you to contact local PCT and look at getting either a spot ot block contract to supply services for social services, this will give you a guaranteed income, you will also have to target a private market.
There has been a massive growth in this sector in recent years and you should do your marketing and research very carefull as there is a lot of competition.
There are a few establishments that are going to Poland to recruit directly, even further competition for you to be aware of.
Go to the DTI website and browse about looking up employment agencies, which is ultimately what you want to be.. although with recent law changes, they seem more hassle than they are worth as you now have to provide holiday and sick pay when the staff are not working in accordance with UK law. even when contracting..
They should have all of the information you need.
