I'm from England. Is it a myth that it's difficult to get a job with The Post Office?
I heard it pays well, but you can only get a job if a member of your family works there already.
Answers:
Sugar, you have to take the civil service exam, it takes about 4 hrs,
mostly english and spelling, just a general test, and try and get good score
they put you on a waiting list determined by your test score. Apply at your local

No its not.
I worked for the Post Office but non of my family ever had. It does pay well if you work the night shift!
Depends on the area you are seeking employment. My brother had to work without full time status or his own route for about 4 years. That didn't mean he didn't work full time hours, but he didn't qualify for full benefits. He lived in Northern Virginia near Dulles Airport. I live in the Shenandoah valley and getting a job as a postal carrier here is a little easier. Gettin a job in the mail room.I'm not sure what it is like.
if you go to www.royalmail.com there is a section regarding recruitment in the royal mail
