Occupational Health Form. Does incapacity benefit while unemployed count as sickness abscence?
I was signed off for 6 mths but was unemployed anyway so technically, I wasn't "absent" or don't they see it that way? Are they likely to ask for my doctor's notes anyway?

Good question, with two possible answers - one would be yes, if you can provide evidence in the form of the doctor's notes, another would be no - you were signed off so don't officially count as being unemployed according to some statistic, when you sign on again it'll be a new claim (probably).
