With all the FREE London newspapers being handed out, does anyone know how these paper co's make their money?

Doesn't it annoy the F**K out of you with these people every five yards waving a free paper in front of your face and saying "Free London Lite", or the closest they can in whatever accent they each speak?? Why don't they just put them on a stand like the Metro, and let people just take one if they want one.
