Job hunting this summer!?
i have been looking for a job this summer in retail (london). has anyone got any tips! does anyone know who's recruiting at the moment ?

All I can suggest is that you type up a CV and distribute them around the shops in your local town centre or central London.
Given the time of year, a lot of workers will be off to uni so this creates more vacancies.
Check with each shop what their preferred method of application is, some may prefer you to drop in a CV, others may have a set application form for you to fill in.
My tip: When you go into a shop to hand your CV in, try and give it to a member of staff that looks pretty senior (management etc) and not the bored, young sales assistant stood behind the counter popping her gum. This may sound harsh but I worked in retail for 7 years so I know what I mean.
Or ask for a manager/supervisor when you go into each shop as they can advise you better as to the vacancy situation.
Good luck, you're highly likely to secure a job is generally there's quite a high turnover of staff in retail

Not only is it great fun, it looks good on your CV (for future employment) and you can make friends there.
