What dimensions is a4?
paper
Answers:
In the International standard paper sizes, the A series, based on the metric system, starts with A0 which has an area of one square meter (3.28 sq. feet). If you cut the A0 in two equal pieces you get the A1 size, if you in turn cut the A1 in two equal pieces you will get the A2 and so on until you get the A4 size which is 210 × 297 mm. (8.2677 x 11.6929 inches).
You can see the full lists of the ISO A, B, and C series of paper sizes at the site below.
297 x 210 mm
2D LOL
It's half of A3
A4 - 130 miles long, 32 feet wide, and runs east-west between London and Bristol
210mm x 297mm
It is a quarter of A0
Looking from the other direction - it's TWICE the size of a piece of A5 paper which is the size that you would normally write a personal note on from a small pad. Another totally un-fascinating bit of trivia is that you have to fold it in 3 to fit it inside a standard "D" size business envelope! Hope these are entertaining if not entirely useful - you never know WHEN you might get asked them in the pub quiz or on Mastermind!
