I am not gonna tell you my secrets!
we could be competing for the same job in the future!!
First, learn proper English.
A great wee tip that gets your CV noticed is put down you Strong points and your weak points, this shows you are not afraid to admit your negative points.
Put work experience that you may have done in school. Any good grades put in a slightly bigger font, not so its obsuiously noticable, but its slightly bigger.
Hope that helps xx
The truth for when you go for an interview you are seen in your true colours
Use some of the keywords in the job description, and make sure that you demonstrate how they closely align to your background!

Each bullet of your previous jobs should indicate how you saved the company money, made them money or made their lives easier. these bullets are very ete catchy are much better than task oriented ones. Aknist every task can be converted into a dollar figure, even if you have to approximate, estimate or guesstimate.
Which would you prefer tohear.
"Negotiated contracts with suppliers" or "Slashed XYZ Product licensing costs by $75,000 (46%) by rengotiating our contract"
No company wants to spend money on an employee, but if your resume can convince them that you are a good investment that will return more than you cost you will get the interview.
You could try pink paper and you're favourite perfume like Elle in Legally Blonde.
The most important when reviewing a CV is to see which were the achievements of the person. If you worked before. say how your work made the company to sell more, to be better know, to get new customers..etc. All those achievements should be in numbers. Growth rates are better in percentages:
- I opened a Blog and I achieved to increase in 60% the amount of visits in 1 month.
- I made my first web site in 1987 and it is still working! with more than 4000 visits per month
- I helped my chief to organize an event for 140 persons. The success was important for the company that received more than 30% of leads.
The same can happen if you are just going out of school. In which activities you participated and which degree of success.
That will help your potential employer to know more about your personality.
I never think it is a good idea to lie on a CV, so I wouldn't advise telling anything but the truth. I have been guilty of twisting the truth a little to make a previous job or hobby sound more interesting.
Very important to have the layout and design of the CV as clear to read as possible. Maybe add a photo of yourself or some graphics to make it interesting. People will take time to read it if you have taken time to design it.
Hope this helps.
Remember to write your CV as a tool to get the interview not to get the job. Make sure and add at least three good references with e-mail addresses. It is cheaper and less personal for employers to e-mail than to call. Keep it as short as possible with out leaving gaps in employment. When I select applicants for interview and I have 65 CV's on my desk, I am not going to read much beyond the first page unless i am immediately interested.
best of luck and don't forget to follow up with a phone call or e-mail2-3 days after you apply. If you show interest you are more interesting.
A photograph of you in the nude pinned to the front of the cv!! - that should catch a prospective employer's eye
Change the order of it to suite the employer, If they want experience and you've got it put that first.
Remember they want to see what they are asking for.
Tell the truth
Be your self
and if they like you your'll be successfull.
Many companies use computer programs to scan resumes and CV's so make sure your CV has the words and terms in it that are similar to the job description and background they seek.
