i'll start my postgraduate studies in London in 2 months, so i'd like to find a job there to work and earn some money.

The best place to start would be your university career service they have some very friendly jobs for students i.e. good work around times.
Go doorstepping jobs directly, they may offer to employ you straightaway if they like the look of you.
