Another way is to buy an "off the shelf" company where everything has been created for you. You can then change it's name to suit you but you have to do this properly.
Type in "off the shelf companies" in google and you will get loads of sites that offer the service.
You need to set the Limited Company up first - you can actually do this on Companies House website fairly easily - costs £150. I would ask local businesses who they use for an accountant or book keeper.
As stated already ,you have two options, one to do it yourself on the web site of the Companies House or to use an agent, who will do the job for you for a fee. If you are going to work for a contractor and you are a sub-contractor, you have to apply for a CIS card which can be obtained from your local tax office.
Good Luck with your new company.
