Working as a paramedic in france?

I am a registered paramedic currently working in England.
I would like to live in France, does anyone know if the qualification is recognised in france.
Has anybody done the transition and how is it going.

I live in France
I think the nearest equivalent to Paramedic =
infirmière sapeur pompier
(sapeur pompier = fire service; infirmière = nurse literally)

First off, you will need to have a very good level of French.
Try contacting the local Sapeurs Pompiers (whereever you wish to go to live).
Third, you may have to gain a French qualification but I'm not at all sure.
