Stolen premium bonds certificates, is it possible for thief to take advantage of them?

Recent split from girlfriend and among other thing my premium bond certificates for a total of £1000 and £400 is it possible for her to cash them or use them in anyway? they are in my name and address but can the likes of forged signitures and proof of address be enough for her to to either take them over or cash them in.. very worried please help

Answers:
First thing is to immediately report them missing to the police and Nsandi. If you believe she has stolen them then you should say so.

To cash bonds in they have to be sent back to Nsandi, payment is the made by either cheque or to a bank account by electronic transfer.

In theory if she had your bonds and could forge your signature then I think she could get them cashed, by reporting it quickly Nsandi would be able to track and trace them
Just cash them at the Post Office, no I.D. needed!
