My endowment is at risk of shortfall. When i tried to claim they turned me down should i try again?
They said they have all the documents signed to prove they discussed the risks with us.I cant remember much as it was ten years ago. Do we still have chance of a claim and if so should we get a company that specialises in claiming to try for us . I still have time
Answers:
i would go through a company that specializes in that area but find out what it will cost you and how much you will get off your policy otherwise you could owe more to the solicters than you get off your policy. they are allways advertising on tv in britain and saying time is running out so hurry
i think u should try again
Try again, but you may have to wait until the endowment has matured completely.
The Which website is good - http://www.which.co.uk/reports_and_campa.
If you took out the policy with a solicitors firm. it is nearly impossible to get a claim.
No one wants to take them on.
Try writing to the law society with your claim details.
I have sued and successfully won a claim but I used a third party endownment claim company called funnilly enought "Endowment Claims" http://www.endowmentclaims.com. They took a percentage but sorted the buggers out at Abbey for their original dodgy policy.
Keep plugging away you will succeed
Good luck

I really wish that I had read your question 18 months ago. They turned us down, saying exactly the same thing. Despite the fact that I have a booklet PROMISING it will pay the entire mortgage and a handwritten piece of paper which the numpty who sold us the mortgage wrote the expected profits (3 possible returns, worse case scenario £36,000 on top of paying the mortgage, most likely return £47,000!!)
Try again, don't accept it, I think they were trying to fob us off (which worked) and they are trying to fob you off also. If they're still not having any of it a second time, go to independant company. I believe their tactic with us was to hang around til ran out of time.
All the best
