I can't find a job and need to pay my rent what should I do?

I have signed onto some agencies but no work has come my way this week. I'm thinking of going on the streets to beg soon.
I'm not joking about what I just said. I'm not lazy am a hard worker but can't stand on my feet for long periods of time.

Answers:
Go to the job centre and sign on you can also get help with your rent and council tax.
try Vocational Rehabilitation
Sell The Big Issue
get a roommate
if you can't find one, move back home
if your folks live far away or something, beg at the corner
sell stuff that you dont use anymore.
Go to the unemployment office and see if you are eligible for collecting. If not they can possibly point you in the right direction. Good Luck!
Maybe you need to pay your rent before you renew your online service. I think I would make sure I had a roof over my head first.
Go to the social services for advice and financial help and dont delay or your debts will mount up. Good luck
Try going on the streets, but don't beg, sell your body. You will get a lot more for it. Also you won't have to worry about being on your feet too long.
There are jobs out there, how hard are you really looking?
Taxi, bus, train drivers? Job centre would be more than happy to point you in the correct direction. They are there to help, ask!
go to walmart, target, kmart, rite aid, cvs, fast food resturants, wait tables, dishwasher, busboy,
I know it's probably not what you are after but try some local supermarkets for checkout staff. At least it will tide you over until something right for you comes along. Speak to whoever you owe rent to and try and come to some arrangement. You have to let them know that you aren't going to ignore the problem.
just get a job there are hundreds that don't need to be on your feet
office work
admin work
just to name a few
Is there any places in your city that have "day laborers" Like home depot or Lowes?

Other than getting work thru a temp agency Its a rough spot to be in.

Social services may be able to get you an emergency
check for your rent.
Assuming you are checking bulletin boards and classified ads, have you looked under Miscellaneous in employment classifieds? There are a lot of jobs that don't require standing on your feet and don't require a college degree. Get something to do for now.
A roomate would probably really help.
But if not pawn some stuff.
go and live with your parent or with a friend for a while until you can find a sutiable job then when you have enough money find a flat again
My advice would be to look for work in the advertising telesales business. Most firms pay weekly and if you show promise will keep you on your feet.

Alternatively, sod your rent and leave this toilet country and head off into the sun. Work can always be found at the major tourist destinations like Tenerife or Benidorm.
You need to go and sign on - then you should be able to get housing benefit.

Speak to your landlord if you are in serious difficulties. He/she will appreciate your honesty.
u need to go to the job centre!
go to job centre and sign on
you might want to head over to a near by church and speak with a pastor, some one will be able to help you. What city do you live in?
The local Job Center for your state. They have PLENTY of job openings -- and it is not just for fast food.
Are you disabled or just have certain health problems? Vocational Rehabilitation Service in your area might be able to help you with this. In the mean time there may be other things you can do such as temp agencies that might help you find some place where you can work several hours a day even stuffing envelopes. I know it's demeaning but it will get you there. I had to do it myself in order to pay my rent and food bills. It will at least get you started until something else comes along. Also perhaps look into working from the comfort of your own home? Are you opened to the idea of bringing in additional stream of income? Take a look at where I got started at http://www.bedavis1.mywayout.n. You might like what you see, you just never know what you'll find til you find it.
Good luck!
you can try home health aids agancy they alot of time have looking for people

where do you live state?

good luck
try salvation army, redcross might help even churches
sleep on the benches. I'm also not joking. Don't beg unless you really need to. I think that going without food is a more serious problem than no shelter. Offer to help at restaurants or cafes in return for meals. Once you taken care of that, work for money to pay your rent.
People actually make a living begging on the streets.

Girl, I'm in the same situation. I don't know where do you live but if you're living in a rural area, being a minority even though with education like my case, you're screwed since they won't hire minorities but yet they hire meth addicts. I have been 1 month unemployed without getting a decent chance to get back my life. I have been discriminated in a car dealer because even with an Associates, I didn't get into Administrative Assistant position under the excuse that I don't have any experience, even thought I have 11 months experience working as a Acountant Assistant. And on top of that she asked me "Why don't you start cleaning houses for a living? They pay good!" After that call I got a severe panic attack. The town that I'm living there's no high paid jobs except for Dave Smith Motors which are racist and I can't work at Fast Foods or Hotels because I'm very tired of it.

Getting a new job is the most difficult task rather than quitting, but you have to keep on moving in order not to lose your roof above your head. Be aggressive on your searches, interviews and even resumes, Show that you're interested and motivated. Get into a positive attitude even thought you don't feel like it. I hope a best high paid job for you. Good Luck.
