Answers:
I had a really nasty experience with Natwest years ago. I just bought my first car and I got down to approx £7 just after pay day. Natwest sent me a letter warning that I was close to my limit and charged me £15 which then put me into the red.

I left Natwest shortly after. I'm with First Direct now and I've never had a problem in 15 years.
Maybe you've been a victim of fraud, I would contact your bank immediately and ask where the transaction originates from.
That's a clear case of identity theft.
Maybe its your quarterly bank charges that were due ? Call them and ask - you have every right to know xx
if there's no standing orders DD's etc you shouldn't be having money taken out of your account for any reason. However some RBS accounts (of which Natwest is part of) do have an annual charge for using the account. I would suggest that you get in touch with customer services (0800 200 400) and clarify what these 'charges' are on your account. You may wish to change the type of account you hold if this is the case.
They did that to me a lot when I was with them and they always apologised and gave it back if I kicked up enough fuss. they try and dazzle you with jargon as to why they take the money but they cannot do this and they know it. I would just move if I were you, they are one of the worst banks ever and they were in a report recently because they, and a few other banks, are apparently throwing away the customer's personal details and not disposing of them correctly, IE shredding them. They just throw the details into a normal black bag.
sounds like fraud, phone the bank asap in the morning
