Nations in debt?

Are there any nations in the world that do not have any national debt(except Monaco and other small nations that don't really count). I read somewhere a while ago that the U.S now owes China billions of $ and god knows who the U.K owes and how much.

Answers:
Actually, God does know and is not at all happy about this. You do us all a favor by calling our attention to a very real curse we are giving our children.
https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/fac. is an excellent source for finding out the debt of every nation - including a few of which I've never heard.
In most nations the national debt is compounded by the projected/promised health cost of the aging population. If you call Social Security - Medicare they have a series of promo's played while you wait. Each one emphasizes the fiscal unsoundness of the program. The money you plop into SS now pays people receiving it now - not your own future.
Our lust for the moment is creating a Draconian nightmare for those who will inherit our debt.

As for other nations, if they have a central bank - they have some type of foreign debt.

For the EU - the debts have been rolled up into one package.
no I think "national debt" is a key component of global economics and a factor of trade. IE the books will rarely ever say zero, even if settling all debts on a regular basis just because of the magnitude of the value of the goods traded between nations. However, that doesnt explain the $11 billion the us owes. Thats just poor fiscal policy and overspending on wars. Also its a factor of poor diplomacy. I cant believe the tariffs we pay to other countries when the favor is not extended to us.

anyway, i think monaco counts! no matter how small.
All nations are in debt to their people. There are many kinds of debt and at any one time most nations are in debt to each other.
This is known as a trade deficit.

Most third world countries are in debt to their original colonisers' (and should be forgiven ) They are also in debt to the International Monitory fund and the World Bank.
