I am blind in my left eye can i still get my driving licence?

Answers:
Yes but you have to tell your instructor and the DVLA, as you may need extra mirrors in your car. They will take that into consideration on your test etc but they will expect you to be able to drive as well as as someone with 2 eyes

A guy i worked beside lost an eye when he was 7 and he had a licence. Plus im a trainee Driving instuctor so knowlege is power my friend
Just half of it
You can get a regular license but not a CDL or commercial license.
Columbo was supposed to be blind in one eye

(ok he was an actor)
i'd blo0dy hope so!!
probably.
The sight-test only makes sure you can read a number plate from (x) metres away (10 I think).

You couldn't be much worse behind the wheel than the countless to$$ers I encounter on the roads!
Ring the DVLA..
No, you can't. Being able to see with only one eye distorts perception of distance, making it hard to drive, also to park.
I don't see why you wouldn't be able to.my daughter has sever glacoma and her doctor keeps saying she's capable of getting her liscence
yes but your insurance is expensive
yes easy - there are lots of two eyed people who cant drive out there
I doubt it very much, that must be annoying!
u are uneligible.
An interesting one, as with one eye you would have no depth perception.

Just found out on the RNIB website that you need to have a visual range of 120 degrees.
I dont think so. I would be a little afraid to drive with you on the road too. You need both eyes to be somewhat of an effective driver and you with only one good eye would be risky. I.m sorry
If you are in Britain try contacting the DVLA or the RNIB for advice. I'm sure that they will be able to help.

Good luck!
How are your driving skills? I'm blind in my left eye too, and I find that I'd rather take my time at an intersection, than take chances.

I dont think there should be a problem getting you driver's licence, but then again, i didnt get mine in this country.
i had a friend who was blind in one eye and he wasnt allowed to drive.
