Would you hire me and why not?

No work experience. Worked in a shop when i was 17. Now 24.
The qualifications i got: higher diploma in administration, nvq 2 in administration, rsa 2 in text, word, audio and mail merge, ocr clait and clait plus in IT.(excel can do graphs and charts), outlook, publisher, access and powerpoint - all these qualifications accomplished within 2 years.

Answers:
Hell yeah! I've got a first-class degree: want to swap? Employers are crying out for the RSA/CLAIT certificates in many jobs - and I've searched through many jobs - and any qualifications for Microsoft packages are highly valued. My advice is, get yourself an accounts/book-keeping qualification then a Sage Accounts or Sage Line 50 qualification and you'll never be out of work! You'll be a PA earning £25k + in a few years. Seriously, I know people with MBAs starting from scratch and getting their Microsoft certificates and Sage certificates now - because these are the areas where all the jobs are at! Keep at it and get a few accountancy qualifications to complete the set!

By the way, don't listen to Reinsethj! My friend has a Bachelor of Laws (2:1) and a Certificate in Personnel Practice and she couldn't get a job as a legal secretary or get a job in Human Resources - she had to volunteer too! (She now has a job; I don't know who her employer is, but I know they recently paid for her to go on a business trip to Japan.) Competition is tough in some areas and volunteering is usually the best way of getting experience. Experience is valuable!
Don't worry though: you'll be absolutely fine.
I would probably hire you. It depends more upon your attitude at this point. Based on your skills, you obviously have the ability to learn and adapt quickly. I'm sure you have a good attitude to match and that would make me want to give you a chance.
I would not hire you due to your lack of confidence (ie your question in the first place and claiming right off the bat that you have no work experience,) and because you can't use proper English (The qualifications I got.)
it totally depends on what kind of a job you're looking for. In general it looks like you would be a decent worker.
Probably not. Sorry, but by age 24 I'd wonder why you had volunteered for HR and reception work instead of asking to be paid - unless it was for work experience or at a charity. It would depend on the job you were going for but I'm afraid right now you aren't showing many qualifications. Maybe an office job as an assistant? Probably another job in reception or HR.
It would be a risk given your age and zero experience. I would probably be most interested if I were a temp service- they can take the chance on your and if it doesn't work out there is little lost (and their client doesn't have you on their payroll).

My reco is to hit the temp services and get some experience. It won't pay well, but it's a start.
Well, first of all I would have to be able to read your resume and those cutsie abbreviations would turn me off immediately and I'd tell you not to call me but I would call you. and toss your application in the shredder as you walked out the door.
You sound like a responsible employee.
You have all the right education materials. A willingness to learn. From your description though you seem despondent that your qualifications have not given you more. I would not hire you as I do not feel you are well rounded enough educationally and socially.

A degree is something to show for your hard work but is not a symbol of drive and sacrifice especially if it is only a two year degree.
We regret to inform you that we are not hiring at this time. However, we will hold on to your information and contact you should a position arise that fits your qualifications. Thank you.

or how about:

While we strongly adhere to federal and constitutional laws banning discrimination based on race or religion, at this time we simply cannot hire cartoon avatars. Best of luck to you.
yes, of course you could be hired my many, many of company firms. The only element holding you back -- is you. So, believe in yourself and just get the job you dream of.
OK so you may have the papers to say you can do all that stuff but are you any good at them? no point hiring someone who has certificates and sod all common sense.
You asked: WOULD you hire me and WHY NOT?

I guess you already asked that, but shouldn't it be: WOULD you hire me and WHY. The WHY NOT shows that you presuppose that you WON'T be hired .
Depends what job I was hiring for. In some sort of admin role, probably yes, but I would keep a close eye on your performance during the probation period.
It depends on the job you are looking for.
You need to show you are reliable and capable and have done paid work in the past OR
YOU HAVE BEEN DOING SOMETHING EQUALLY RESPONSIBLE..
You can always be a little creative with the truth to get on the ladder.
Get good references and say what else you have been doing in the last 5/6 years.
you must have OTHER skills/ interests that will lend themselves to a particular field.
Based on your synopsis I wouldn't hire you. If you can't be bothered by grammar and proper punctuation then, as an employer, I would rather hire someone who can perform the set job duties AS WELL as present themselves (and by default my company) in a professional manner. It may seem petty, but employers really do value those kinds of details. I really hope you have some one you trust proof read your resume before you send it out.
yeah sound good to me, stick as much as you can into your cv or application form employers like to see information
Yes I would hire you. You are only 24 no age at all, yet a little more mature so likely to buckle down to the job. You have taken on extra education and succeeded. Now you are ready to take a job at the best age of your life. Young enough to have the energy and old enough to have the sense and purpose. GOOD LUCK.
Suppose for example that I was to hire you. Would you accept the job?

Why not?

Where do you live and how far are you prepared to move to get the job you want. Given that you will only look for local jobs, you are therefore restricted to your local temporary agency. Go there in person, with no CV, and talk to them about what you are looking for.

I am not a clothes designer or manufacturer, but you may find some of my friends have friends in Italy? Maybe they can talk to some Italian clothes manufacturers or something like that. Who knows what could happen!
You wouldn't last one day on the Apprentice. You're Fired! LOL
Your confidence seems low. Ask me again after you've gotten a few jobs under your belt. Good luck my friend.
Well I own a Judgment Recovery Firm and I would hire you. Given your age and qualifications I feel you will be a great asset to my company. We will definatly groom you so you will add depth to our company.
Personally I'm a stickler for well-written documents. Simply based on the construct of your question, I wouldn't hire you.
