Yahoo has a site hot jobs, careerbuilder,monster,6figures. are all good sites
try www.monster.com
All those things are grouped under the term "social work" over here. For children, yes, its called child welfare.

http://www.monster.com is a good place to check around for a job or post a resume.
I'd bet Georgia has a state website. From there there would have a listing of health and senior care facilites. From that you can get websites of those places, and see if they are hiring online, or displaying their job openings. You could get addresses this way for hard mailing.
I check the hospitals in certain areas of the state i live in to keep watch on job openings. I have sent resumes via email and I'm confident in this process.
I moved from England to America. It is not at all easy to do. There is a boat load of paperwork and fees. You are better off hiring an immigration attorney, it will be worth it in saved time. Trust me. Find one in Georgia and give them a call for some free initial advice.
The problem as I see it is that (I assume) your credentials are English. My wife actually does the kind of work that you do, but although she did a study abroad in England she graduated in America. So your challenge will be to prove to a potential employer that you have the appropriate credentials. You will also have to jump through an awful lot of hoops to get a state license. My wife has a masters degree and is still a long way off getting licensed. You can work without a license under supervision, but that would preclude you from being a senior therapist.
I don't think I've been very helpful here, but I hope it works out for you, I enjoy living in America. Petrol is half what you pay for it!
