Lottery - what would u do?
If you could choose would u?
1. Buy 3 tickets with 5 plays (max here in OK)
2. Buy 5 tickets with 3 plays).
All computer generated picks.
Remember, statistically its almost irrelevant (or so I think).
I actaully won a $4 win on powerball, and spend $8 a week (money from 3 people) every week.
Havent decided how to buy more with it.
I do not pocket lottery wins that are less than $100.
All amts below $100 go to buy more tickets or plays.
Quesiton is: wyould u buy more plays or more #'s.

The odds of winning a decent prize on the lottery in the UK is very remote, however there is always the possibility of winning providing you buy a ticket. Hence, most of the fun in buying a ticket is "buying a dream". Buying 2-3 tickets doesn't give you 2-3 times the dream. The increase in odds is still very insignificant, so I just "buy a dream" on just one lottery ticket per draw.

As you pointed out, it is statistically irrelevant. And buying even 50 more tickets still does not significantly increase your chances of winning. So if you want the fun of playing, pick a reasonable amount of money you're willing to spend per week, think of it as spending money on entertainment, and if you ever win anything, put it in your pocket. You're just throwing money away by putting it back into more tickets.
More plays, that way you get more occassions to hope wildly, as opposed to more numbers to check on one occassion.
Gambling is for mugs but having said that I did do it once. If you do it exactly once your chances of winning go up from zero to 1 in 45 million or whatever - subsequently the odds don't go up - so do it just once is my best advice! (or better still not at all)
I don't know what the statistics are but most of the winner profiles that i have read, the winner played certain numbers routinely as opposed to using quick picks. I have resorted to playing my numbers for a month or two in advance which assures me that I don't forget. So far I haven't won but at least I wouldn't regret forgeting to play and having the numbers come up without me.
It sounds a little confusing, the way you wrote it, but I think I would buy more plays.
