What benefits often go with promotion?

Besides extra cash.

Answers:
Apart from extra responsibility etc. you sometimes get extra days on your holiday allowance and if your firm has a pension plan which is salary based then you will get extra pension when you retire. You might not think that is important if you are under 40 but it will be very important later on in life if you do not have enough to live on. Also, depending on the company and the promotion, you might get a better office, car or travel allowance, use of the Managers' facilities, private medical insurance, etc.
Extra responsiblity, Management, Think thats about it. Its more about the cash though
Well apart from the money, you also have more power and normally have ppl under you that u can delegate work to..Also bein promoted means that u can prove you have what it takes and will be in line for future promotions because of this..But there is a downside as bein higher up often means that u will cop most of it when the sh*t hits the fan.
Confidence, responsibilty and leadership.
More responsibility, more days off, more perks, more importance within the company, fatter paycheck, you may even get to wear a suit!!!
certainly more money but remeber the net you bring home is not that much or in fact it may be lower (taxes and tax brackets). if you ca get a plu title "wizard or guru" then that is worth it imho.
1. when it goes wrong you can blame a subordinate and sack them to save your ***
2. you could delegate all your work and spend your day eating doughnuts
3. you soon will no longer need a comb or regular trips to the barber, the stress will speed up male pattern baldness
4. you can eat your lunch in peace in the staff canteen as when you sit down at the table the conversation will stop
Co car, profit sharing, expense account, and secretary on your lap and so on.
