I'd love to work for MI6 but how do you find out about it?

What qualifications do I need from school, etc.?

Answers:
First thing to learn if you do want to work for them is that you should never, ever disclose that; even if this alias is untraceable.

Their website is http://www.sis.gov.uk/output/page4.html. for recruitment.

If you were happy going into Administration with them 5 GCSE's is all they ask for, but obviously experience will matter.

Basically, just do as well as you can and learn to be discreet. And check out their website :P

If you're still in school, I would suggest to you that it is not James Bond stuff - the most realistic aspect of intelligence work is actually in 'Sum of All Fears'. In short, the CIA's Russia desk does involve watching Russian TV trying to figure out who's put on weight and all the rest of it. It all depends what field you want to go for. Yes, you can end up working out of embassies trying to convince people to let you buy documents they should keep locked up, but there are less people doing that then there are people sat in their big concrete building analysing said document.

If you're sure of what you want and what they can offer you, and you're happy that you'd never need to tell your friends who you work for or what you do, then by all means go for it.

apply at roadsweepers, junction 3.
Log on to www.mi6.gov.uk
Forget Mi6 too dangerous they will send you to some mad far off place with no air support ..- Mi5 are screaming for staff - especially if you can speakadeelingo - Arabic that is. their website is surprisingly not bad.. mi5.gov.uk
I would have thought that you need more than school education to get in but you could check scotland yard website for info
This information is highly confidential.Lol
If I tell you..I will have to kill you..
Are you sure you wanna do that? I mean it can take 10 years just to get a blimmin promotion!!
Go to uni they will find you
Why not go undercover and find out that way
As mentioned above go to their website. It won't give you much information on specifics of jobs, but tells you the job areas they are accepting applications for and how to apply. Be warned the process of applying for a job with MI5 or MI6 is long (understandably), including a screening phone interview, then the application form, then usually you will have some form of test, and then a series of interviews. I'm not sure if the process is the same for all of the jobs, but they will always take a long time from initial query to if you are actually offered a job. You will sometimes see adverts in the papers, especially for admin staff.
Yes, I have checked out the web-site www.mi6.gov.uk, and there is a Career page there. However, their salaries are not so good apparently! Check out the Operational Officer Profiles:

"Alexandra

"I didn't follow the pattern of most people going into higher education. I didn't know what I wanted to do when I finished my A-levels so I thought it would be better if I worked for a few years. I did a number of different jobs and saved money to travel widely. At 23 I finally went to Leicester university and did a law degree.

"As part of my degree I had a chance to study international law. This got me thinking about the Foreign Office, and SIS. I applied for both, but had my heart set on SIS. I was attracted to the idea of working for a highly select organisation, promoting UK interests, with the chance to travel, live abroad, and work on really important subjects. It sounded tempting. Although initially worried that my years out of education might be a problem, I soon learnt that my extra experience was highly valued. After a lengthy recruitment process, SIS offered me a job.

That was nearly a year ago; now I'm working on some of the most sensitive issues of global proliferation. I'm not getting the salary I would as a lawyer, but there is more to life than financial reward. I'm in a job which is varied and challenging and which gives me real satisfaction." "

Good luck to you if you are serious about it! Be prepared to many interviews though. If you will get through, please, let us know! :-))
Get a friend (or an enemy whose details you know) to apply to GCHQ and get them to say you had a previous relationship with them. You will then be thoroughly investigated by M15 as part of their vetting process. Make it well known that you are looking for a job in M16 and you definitely do not want to work for M15.
u wud prob ave 2 join the army or police force and apply through that way
just remember the crocodile . one bite and he will always be back for more!
When I graduated from university they were recruiting at the careers fair! They wanted people with a 2:1 or higher honours degree, preferbly in something intelligent, scince/maths/electronics not toilet paper degree.
