dont buy into any money making schemes, stay away from ebay as you end up buying things you dont want and selling things for lower than you want, and please please please dont give people your card numbers who say they will pay money into your account.
If your serious about making money, think of something everyone wants (stay away from electronics, computers, etc) and create your own webstore using ekm powershop or OS commerce
I have spent hundreds of hours researching this question over the last couple of months and it seems the best way and the only way to make money on the internet is to scam people. The scammers are the only one's here making money (with the exception of e-bay if you have the right thing at the right price, which is hit and miss). I will not scam people, nor will I be scammed.
