Who do i need to contact for help in setting up my own business?
I would really love to open my own business but dont know who best to trust for help or how to start. Read a couple of books that havent really been much help, cant afford to buy more. Banks dont seem so helpful when youre only young and a bit 'green'. Im just doing a business plan, what else do i need to know and do?

It all depends on where you live. Try looking up "Small business help" to see what pops up. But if you get a business plan made, and a marketing plan, and have an idea of how to keep books, you are probably miles ahead of me.

Go to your local chamber of commerce. They have free publications and they will also be able to help you to identify start up grants for your idea. If you have a pioneering start up idea be sure to stop off at the patent office first and register your idea. Good luck!
The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you're interested in.
I recommend checking out the SBA, Entrepreneur, The Start Up Journal & Nolo. All 4 are great informational resources for the new/small business owner. I posted links for you in the source box.
There are plenty of free informational resources out there. Check the source box for links to articles.
