Earlier this year there were an excellent set of programmes to do with debt and one of the programmes featured gambling. It was very easy to see how people got sucked in. You are brave to make your point, because it is clear that you are just the tip of the iceberg.
A particular organisation was featured on the television programme. They have various levels of support. Please give them a try as I was impressed by everything that I saw of them.

Find the nearest Gamblers Anonymous and get there now! They should be able to help you
There is an organization, gamblers anonymous, who can help you. It's similar to alcoholics anonymous, first names only, very secure, and they can help you. If you work for a large company, they may also offer free financial counselling, which is also confidential, to help you over the hump.

gambling addiction is a serious issue - - one which casino's and online gambling sites work hard to encourage. (There is a significant amount of psychology in the reward system for gambling). I would suggest getting proffesional help - - They will help you learn how to tell your family and get your life back in order. The first step is realizing there is a problem.
you need to see someone about your gambling. regards the debt contact your citizens advice bureo and they will help. u can easily get the payments down if your in trouble. debts can be dealt with dont worry about them your main concern is your gambling
good luck mate
All those who said Gamblers Anonymous were offering you good advice. Last year a mate of over 10 years said he was now going to GA because his gambling was getting out of hand. I was really surprised that his 'odd flutter' was such a problem. Just before he was to be married his fiancee found out what a mess he was in (he didn't think it was that bad!) but it was just over £4,000. He agreed to go and get help and so far so good. He still married and now they have a baby daughter. The media certainly portrays enough gamblers who lose everything. Which outcome do you prefer the sound of? All the best..

Gambling becomes an addiction to some people just like alcohol or drugs, you have been given some very sound advice so far, what I will say is always keep the roof over your head, your mortgage must take priority, along with any other secured debts.
