My manager thinks..?
that they run the whole of the coropration single-handedly. Is anyone else in a similar postion? how do you deal with it? it does my head in!

Believe me there are many managers like yours - total pricks ! A good manager is able to delegate, has good human resources skills and appreciates good members of staff.
just smile and nod and be really nice it will drive them crazy
just humour them
don't get annoyed with it, just nod with him
My manager is similar, but I am in a very small business (there are only four of us). she tends to take credit , and the big raises without so much as thanking us.
The way that I am handling it is to quit. I have stuck it out for almost two years (next month) and I can't take it. I am finally quitting and I have never felt more sure about a decision.
