Need help about crossed postal orders?

i've just got a crossed postal order, n i've bin told i gotta take it to bank! will they cash it there and then!

Answers:
No they won't. I had this trouble a few weeks ago. It takes the same amount of time that a cheque takes to clear. It's only uncrossed po that can be cashed immediately and then it can only be done at the Post office
yep or pay it into your account
Crossed means " Not Negotiable "

You would most likely have to deposit it into your own personal bank account.

If the Post Office will not cash it for you , The bank will apply the same rules
If you have an account they will you pay it out to you right away.
Only if you have a bank account
bring it to the back they r right
If you have a normal postal order, then take it to the post office and they'll tell you where to sign it and exchange it for cash.

Wish a crossed postal order, take it to your bank. They will then pay it into your account, or cash it for you. I think this is to prevent fraud. Just remember- do not sign or mark the postal order if it's going to the bank because they can be very funny on things like this.
