in going over to spain and just wonderin if i need more than just a passport?
Answers:
If your country of residence is in the European Union, you will only need a passport. However, you should sort out a job before you get there.
Contact an international Recruitment agency (Phonebook) and see about work in spain, or check out http://www.monster.com as this is an international network of job sites.
If your country is outside the EU, you should contact you local ebassy for advice on getting a Visa, or the spanish embassy in your country.
You might want 2 ask someone who lives in Spain, or has lived in Spain!!!!!!!!!.
Contact the Embassy of Spain. Their receptionist can transfer you to the correct department.
Many employers will allow you to work without anything more than a copy of your passport after seeing the original, however, that gives you no rights as employed. To be fully intergrated into the system you would need to apply for a job with a full contract, that will ensure the employer pays Social Security payments for you, which is an absolute must. being in the 'system' means you get fast tracked to obtaining 'residencia' which is the official ID document for anyone in Spain. For the best and most definitive information, contact the British Embassy in Madrid
