What's will be the best place to exchange sterling for Euros on the high st tomorrow?

Want to find the best rate but don't have much time to shop around - was thinking of going to Thomas Cook.? Any informed thoughts?

Answers:
Marks and Spencers have the best rates at the moment. Otherwise try the post office
tesco
.Don't go to TC. Nationwide advertise no charge on exchange, but why don't you get your money out of the wall when you are abroad ? Maximum amount of cash for £ 1.50 and always the latest rates
If you go to your bank they will do it commision free but you might have to order it. But always take some english money with you cause exchange rates abroad are normally better and they are commision free too.
The post office
I cant answer your question immediately. First tell me for how long you want to go to Euro-land. If it is for good, then find a good local bank in the place where you want to stay and then ask them to convert all your sterling into Euro.
If its is only for a holiday, the next question is, where? There are places on the continent where people are out to steal money from innocent or gullible English tourists. Beware!
