Ebay Business?

I would like to start a business selling on Ebay. I jus can think of any products that should sell well. Does anyone have good ideas?

Answers:
Go for it!

I started trading on eBay seriously just over a year ago and have been doing it full time since last december earning much more than my old job, working from home when I want and seeing more of the family.

The real key is choosing a product you know well. Think of your interests and hobbies. If your into photography then go for cameras, lenses, tripods etc. If your a musician then go for instruments. Use the knowhow you already have to give you a head start, this will enable you to get a better idea of what will sell, expected price etc. etc.

If you don't have much capital to start up with, have a big clear out through the house and sell all the stuff you don't need. This will not only generate cash for stock ( I made £260 last time I cleared out my loft) but it will give you experience of selling and creating listings as well as boosting your feedback profile giving buyers more confidence in you as you have a checkable track record.

As for the people who have answered with the usual negatives (rip offs etc) Just think about this. If you get a stall or shop you will not only have to pay sky high ground rent / rates but you will have to contend with shoplifters and scammers on the high street (fake returns / stolen cheques etc.) as well as having to staff the shop during opening hours rather than be free to choose your own hours.

It's true, there are some real idiots on eBay, but we're dealing with real people here! What market place in the world is not prone to it's undesireable element? Everyone moans about not getting the Sony PSP for £5.00 they thought was genuine - (common sense is the best defence) but it's not oftern you hear about the 80,000 people in the U.K. who use eBay to make over 25% of their household income.

You can get some great advice on listing and selling as well as wholesale pricing on just about any product you wish to sell, all you need to do is pick this answer as your favorite and add your e-mail address to your reply and I'll let you know. (can't give you wholesale info here or everyone will be doing it!)

The best thing of all is that you can run an eBay business alongside your current job so you can grow as fast or as slow as you feel comfortable with.
Don't stick to one kind of product - sell anything and everything.
Anything sells on Ebay. Just find someones junk, it will be someone Else's treasure. As long as you are honest you will do well.
Get a real job.
I doubt you have a real job already but I may be wrong.?

You wanted to be a loan broker 3 days ago. What's the matter?
i will give you 10 to 1 you wont be on 10 mins before someone tries to scam you. eBay eScam. put up a stall and get out and meet real people.
Hard to answer that one.you need to look for a gap in the market and get in there!
Good luck..
Greetings,
Spend some time on the Ebay website and look at what is selling. Look at the items that are selling well now and see if you can take advantage of the moment. Also, my friend buys items from storage unit sales and stores like Big Lots and puts them on Ebay and does a good business. You can also speak to some shop owners and find out if they have some items (discontinued items for example) that you can list on Ebay on a consignment basis. Since the holidays are coming up you may want to check with a few craftier of home made items to list.
Good luck with you Ebay business
Baby products and cell phones.
I can't suggest any products for u to sell as I was an eBayer.
I failed to get any profits from eBay, instead eBay was making money through me. The listing fee is chargeable even if your items are not purchased. I was selling various item like clothing, handicraft & accessories but I guessed that the main reason of my failure was the competition.
If you can handle a business where u don't need to handle delivery, purchasing & reselling, don;t u think it's great? If you are running a business without any physical products involve it will make your life so much easier. go for the internet business which requires less of your time and the one that will not make you feel headache with web designing, or which require IT knowledge. Second, choose the internet based company which offer you the opportunity and at the same time giving you the convenience to start the business. Honestly, I tried so many opportunities offered through the internet and this is the only one that really works. Another one advantage of being in the internet business is you can get rid from the Income Tax.

Remember, You CAN'T guarantee whether you will get many fish or not by spreading your net into the sea, but u CAN guarantee that there is no fish at all if you never spread your net into the sea.
Best tip for selling on ebay: find out the lowest price you can reliably get an item for, then list the item a few times at maybe 10% margin from that after fees and shipping, before actually buying the item. Then buy as the orders come in, you'll never be holding much stock which reduces risk and capital requirements.
