Can I get a job in England if I'm not an English citizen?
My wife is in the US Air Force and she's getting stationed at RAF Mildenhall. I don't have any work visas or anything, just a passport. What do I need, if anything, in order to be able to get a job there?
Answers:
You need to do this. Just give John Prescott a sheriff's badge, a Colt 45 and a sombrero. He'll then see that you're ushered into a job in Downing Street. As a previous answer implied anyone from any part of the planet can get a job here.

Yes, but you will need to contact the Home Office, for a National Insurance number.
Not sure but I do think you will need some kind of visa. Try checking it out at the Brtiish Consulate they will be able to advise. best of luck
nothing, we have loads of illegal workers here.. just get a job, who cares British government don't.
Well,you will need first a work contract and then a work visa.If you don't have this you can go and work illegal,but will be hard.
Yeah, just come on in. They let anyone in here. No border controls. No customs. No nothing. You think I'm joking and being flippant ? Not so ! At least you seem to be fairy inteligent as judged by your wife in her wanting to marry you. Please be welcome! Actually you may need to check with immigration although most don't..
There is a wonderful person (nicky loveday or something similar) who runs the Fyllingdales RAF station in North Yorkshire who gave a talk at our school. She left the following message from Mother Theresa which will stay with me always -
People are often unreasonable, irrational and self-centred;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere, people may deceive you;
Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight;
Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten;
Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.
-- Mother Teresa
