How do i find out whether i will receive a state pension?
approximately 18 years ago i was given information about opting out of the state pension system and i cannot remember if i took the option.

You write to the Department of Work & Pensions office in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, quoting your National Insurance number and ask for a Pension forecast.
you will receive a state pension regardless
get in touch with your citizens advice they will know who you can contact,or the local government pensions office,you must be paying what they call stamp money if you are working,the pension goes on what you have paid in over the years,if you had opted out and haven't been paying it then I doubt if you will receive a full amount state pension also you could try your local benifits office for information
