Ask questions that lead the other person to the conclusion you want, e.g., someone says he knows a guy who is really brave because he took on four opponents in a fight. You, being sensible, think whoever did that must be stupid. Ask questions:
1. So you would say it's brave to take on four opponents? (Yes)
2. Would it be even braver to take on six? (Yes)
3. And even braver to take on ten? (Well, er, yes)
4. And extremely brave to take on, say, twenty? (Hmmm, yes)
5. But the guy would lose against that many, wouldn't he? (Yes)
6. So that guy would be stupid, wouldn't he? (I guess so)
7. So being brave is pretty stupid, isn't it?) (Yes, OK)

Questions can put across your point of view without threatening the other person's self-esteem. And remember, the person who is asking the questions is the one in control of the conversation.

Then there is the benefit+feature sentence structure: "You'll be a lot more comfortable in these shoes (benefit) because they are made of real leather (feature). If you put the feature first, you raise objections in the other person's mind before you get to the benefit. Remember that sequence: benefit backed up by feature. That's persuasion.
It is not easy job.Some are convinced.You have to convince with arguments/statistics.What ever point you should present properly.You must create an impression that you are impartial and you are not in for any money or personal gain.Most important thing is that people are moody and you must give your recommendation when the person is in good mood.
Some are carried away by the impression you have created.It takes a long time to create impression and also to maintain it.
