Can i keep my personal licence if i set up an iva? licence as in pub license?
i need to know if a can still keep my licence to run the pub as the manager if i set up an iva. i have debts that i can no longer control. and this seems the only option for me. my ex left me with so much debt but i can do nothing about as its in my name. it stinks really the deal i have been left with. but i have to sort it its killing me physically and mentally. failing that should i just run away!!

Yes you can. An IVA is very different in this capacity to bankruptcy where you may face problems when you come to applying or reapplying for your license.

is it your pub? if so then i doubt it. they will probably advise you to sell it to meet your debts. if you go through an iva your credit rating is badly affected, this could lead to problems with suppliers.. best bet is speak to the Citizens Advice. Or ask an iva company directly.
yes you only loose a personal licence if convicted of a criminal offence here or in another country. dept problems are nothing to do with the licence. i am assuming you hold one of the new 2003/4 licences issued by the local authority, not an old magistrates one. if you move to a different local authority you would need to re apply
