Well since the inland revenue guys are gonna snatch 30 %, the remaining 6 Mill i would like to buy a good estate, a bentley, invest in mutual funds, securities, nd bonds and of course propose to Keira Knighley.
10% to charity Keep 2 million then divide the rest amoung my family which is quite large.
Spend some. buy a house or something.
Give some to family members that have helped me along the way. If you haven't. TOUGH.
Donate a large amount to charities. one where you can see the money going to work building houses, schools, hospitals that provide decent medicine and treatment for under developed countries. Ones that help to cure Cancer and Heart disease.

Pull up credit report, pay whoever I forgot about over the years.
Then look for and hire a financial consultant with a respectable investing portfolio - and split the money in percentages with international stocks, national fast growth/med growth stocks, mutual funds for retirement, kids' college, bonds, and non-realized income growth investments (such as apartment complexes, business lots, etc).
Once all that was settled were I could do something along the lines of 70% invested in high growth and 30% in safe growth, I'd continue working, and doing pretty much exactly what I do now.
I may buy a few nicer things from the interest every year instead of re-investing, I'm pretty frugal and I have a small want of nice things - and 9 million is quiet a bit of money, even to retire on 50 years from now.
