How much should I charge for a Website Banner per hits/unique hits etc?
The Website is specifically targeted at the 18-24 year old demographic and in its first month recieves up to 20,000 unique hits per week . how much should I expect to charge (CPT) in GBP (£) for the vertical and horizontal rotating banner space per week/month etc?

Am not sure there is one answer, probably a combination of time on site (day, week, month) and click thru's needed, your click rate may be high for some advertisers and low for others - rather depends on their business model. Also whether there is any conversion on top of the click thru (ie sales advert etc).
So id have range of charging models, also many of your clients may well be ad agencies rather than the end client and so may tell you what youre going to get rather than negotiate your rates.
I really can't tell you the perfect amount but you shouldn't be scared of charging a prize you have in your head. But i can easily say it has to be in the 4 figure.
