Personally I would give it all up,
I would rather have my happiness than money.

i agree with you in theory, give up all my money for happiness. but that is such an abstract thought. give up all your money-does that mean give up your houes and car and clothes and everything you own? or just your bank account but you still own a house and a hummer and all your things. and happiness for the moment? or happiness for all time. its just not really that pragmatic, so in short yes, give it all up for the abstract idea of happiness.

moeny seems to be the general trading currency and since most people dont have much to barter with other than moeny, ie; a valuable skill set, we are slaves to the thing that is green, if you live in the united states that is. otherwise the truly wise can learn to live without money, but most of the people whoget a taste for it never want to give it up. Its just a "I want to be like hi8m" thing where people arent happy with their lifes and dont realize struggle that people go through to obtain something that should be much more scarce

Peoples' values are misplaced and people are more skeptical in this day in age so they keep to themselves more. The "role models" of society, the people that lots of people keep track of their lives, are celebrities who are celebrities because they're rich.
