Can anyone tell me the definition of Functional activities?

Answers:
Functional Activities - the departments that make up and execute a business' main operations.

EG: Accounts,Production, Marketing, Despatch, Human Resources, Sales etc
I would say an activity that works good, making it functional. Like having a job, and it pays every week? Or changing a flat tire, on your bike or car, and it stays inflated? Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what I think.
