Has anyone out there successfully been compensated for miss sold endowment policy?

We have tried direct with the endowment company but they said we would have to go to the people who sold it to us despite our policy reading exactly as they told us and they have been taking our money all these years, the seller was just a local estate agent the policy was with a big company. Can you recommend any good companies that would act on our behalf as advertised on the tv and is there a catch.

Usually you have to go to the people who sold it to you or gave you bad advice. You need to write to them stating that you had got bad advice and were told that your policy would cover your mortgage at the end of the term. The companies on TV usually buy your policy for less than what you have put in. Usually endowment policies have terminal bonuses which means that the company which buys it will receive these rather than yourselves.
