How would i get a job as a lawyer after a law degree in university?

Answers:
There are several routes you could take depending on what sort of lawyer you want to be. If you want to be a barrister, you will need to apply to do a BVC course. Only a few courses are available nationwide and it is very, very competitive. You will likely need a minimum of a 2:1 to get a look in.

For a solicitor, you will need to do an LPC. These are more widely available and a bit less expensive and perhaps slightly less competitive. I think the closing date for these courses is coming up very soon, (January 2007) so if you are in your 3rd year of a full-time degree, you will need to get your skates on.

Try looking at the Law Society or Bar Council's webbys for more info or ask your lecturer at Uni what the best course of action to take is. Most courses expect you to have done some shadowing work during the holidays too so if you haven't done any, you should perhaps consider this.
My friend's husband is a lawyer and I will tell you what he says to do onTuesday?
write me an entry on Tuesday in my e-mail, and I will tell you what to do!! Okay! anne2471@yahoo.com
You have to pass the bar exam for your state and then you can apply for jobs
In my country, after you get you degree in law, you have to pass an entry exam for lawyers asociation. If you could qualify, then you have to work for 2 years beside a lawyer. after 2 years, you have to pass another exam which is really hard. and if you pass it, then you'll be a lawyer! and if you couldn't pass it, you have nothing to do.
Apply at law firms, the local court system, and major corporations. Set up your own practice.
