Hs any one dealt with buying a car from motorpoint in the uk? DERBY?
Answers:
hello, I bought a ford focus from them, i had no problems and would recommend them
not personally, but if you're getting finance, check for fee's, conditions, and rate!
Look at the total amount payable.
Car supermarkets will drop the price of a car but make it up again via a higher interest rate on the finance.
Get out clauses - sometimes there can be a large fee to end the finance, or pay off early.
check all of the above before you sign anything.
as for the actual cars - not heard of any issues.
As with and car purchase, check over everything on the car inside and out, make sure everything works before you leave.
Take someone who's not already been to look at the car as they'll spot things you won't (sometimes kids are very good for this!)
good luck
ps: check the net for similar cars, autotrader etc.
i recently saved a relative £1500 on a car by finding one identical in another dealers.
look on www.fow.co.uk (fords of windsford) - huge place
and www.carcraft.co.uk
I know a few people who say the prices are OK-
I have heard that the car area is lousy in terms of layout and they don't ley yoyu go out on test drives - they will give you the key to the car (if you can find a salesman to talk to you).
But if it's price and choice - yep i have heard it's good.
If you want to have a few cars to have a test drive in - go to advantage in castle donnington - the cars are a bit steep - but theres plenty of salesmen - but that's built into the price - ok for getting a feel for the model.
Good luck
