Carfax.com
do a hpi check or take someone with you when you look at it or get a rac check done first before you buy it
http://www.edmunds.com
has reviews ect.
if you have the vin number you can get it checked out on carfax or vehix.com for a small fee.
Get an HPI check done. This reveals the full history of a car, they will advise you verbally, and in writing of their findings, and they underwrite their information to be correct, and compensate you if it turns out to be wrong.
UK phone number 01722 422 422. Have the registration number and VIN number available, and preferable the V5 logbook too.
Costs about £40.

there are several like this one they all cost money and come up to be pretty much non conclusive, other than the car is not stolen. if you wanna know what has been done. sweet talk a service writer at a car dealer to run the VIN number in his computer. he can tell you how the car has been maintained mechanicaly and also collision repair work done on record. and make sure if it is a GM product to go to the specific dealer. Like chevrolet, buick, pontiac ect. all others can interchange info. lastly find a good mechanic and have him or her check it out.
http://www.freevehiclecheck.co.uk/. There you go and it's free!!
The AA or RAC
yea sure check out all the ford websites
recommend a HPI check for getting the low-down on a used car!
try hpi,experian website.
