Blue wire on alternator ford transit?

Answers:
i own a repair shop, and i think the blue wire is the field wire on it,and if you have to bridge it this means they didn't build it right,id take it back to them and tell them, they can make the necessary repair on it so you don't have to do this, the blue wire from what i understand is the alt charging wire on it,my book shows it but it don't give a lot of details on it,,take the alternator ,off and take it to an advance or auto zone, and see what it does on there machine, good luck i hope this help,s.
Tie that wire to an ignition circuit that is only powered with the key on.
