Will you be glad when the oil runs out?
Answers:
With respect to the wars which are obviously about oil, yes.
When the oil runs out no one will care about the middle east and we can leave them all to their own devices.
I WON'T BE HERE.....
WON'T NEED OIL WHERE I AM GOING.
Alcohol fuel and synthetic oil baby

it won't ever run out, they'll just start diggin where they should the the alaska nature reserves
Their are other forms of fuel. Hemp for instance, check out this site http://www.jackherer.com/
It would solve some of the problems but wars are not all about oil. Hopefully they will have found another easily available cheaply sourced alternative fuel by then to run our power.
You and I will be dead long before the "fossil" oil runs out, in any case all oil was grown originally so future conflicts will be about land, already Americans are turnng to growing fuel instead of food which will push up food proces and lead to shortages where crops fail.
People need to get their heads out of the sand and realise North America has the potential to be self sufficient in real time energy with almost present day lifestyle provision provided population growth and repatriation of illegal immigrants can be managed.
China India, pakistan are hopelessly under resourced and completely unsustainable and face huge social problems with falling standards of living from a very low starting point, Britain straddles the equation, with a potential to feed half the population but plenty of rain for rain based energy extraction such as hydro electricity, and a high coastline to population ratio for sea based energy extraction. in all cases Nuclear power could be the medium term answer, particularly a major nuclear conflict, effecting a major cull of humans, would be extremely beneficial in environmental terms if not particularly popular outside Muslim communities.
