Fj 1200 how to bleed clutch?

--Read my answer to your mighty vac question. Or do it the hard way -
--Put a hose on the bleeder valve (a battery breather hose is perfict - correct diameter and clear to see when air is out of line). Let the other end hang in a drain pan (prevents making a mess).
--Pump the clutch lever a few times (to build up pressure in the brake line). On the final pump, keep the lever squeezed (to prevent anything from coming back up the line).
--With one quick motion, open and close the bleeder valve. You'll see brake fluid and air bubbles coming through the hose (you can hold the bleeder valve open for a bit as long as the brake fluid and air don't travel back into the brake line).
--Again - pump the lever, hold, open bleeder, close.
--Keep repeating the procedure until you feel good resistance on the clutch lever (what it felt like when your clutch used to work) and you see no more air bubbles coming out of the bleeder hose.
place bike on center stand, turn bars so clutch master cylinder is faily level. wrap a rag around master cylinder and carefully unscrew it, using the correct type of screw driver. you may have to use an impact driver as these screws are easily nackerd. remove the cover trying not to spill fluid under the rubber.top up if required.now slowly pull the clutch in noting that it will try and spit fluid out the top. this strips paint if not cleaned off. put a hose over the clutch bleed nipple and undo it till the lever hits the bars. hold in this position and do the nipple back up. repeat as necisarry keeping one eye on the fluid level in the master. so, lever in, undo nipple, do nipple up again, let go of lever. peice of cake. good luck. ;-)
