You see cheap flights advertised " fly for £2.50 etc"?

Anybody got any bargins in the world of air travel. How much/ Where to/ and HOW did you get them?

Answers:
Go to www.skyscanner.net

Brilliant site.

All prices are inclusive of tax, and if you just want to get away but don't care where then it'll tell you where's the cheapest place flying on easyjet, ryanair, bmi etc.
They prices are to get you interested - Once they add on the Taxes etc. they are mostly just the same prices as non-cheapo airlines
London to LA £95 return in 2002 with a Times newspaper promotion.
they are mostly to Ireland and yes i have got them
I've had flights from Liverpool John Lennon to Dublin for 99p and then the tax is £18 and the carparking for two days £40. Bargain?
www.ryanair.com and www.easyjet.com

I went from London Stansted to Rome for .99 British Pounds Sterling + 10.00 taxes. That is still a great deal. There are no great deals in North America, but if you plan a week or two in advance, you can get some great deals in Europe and I swear by the two sites I listed above. The only problem is if you are expecting the greatest of food services, leaving on time, arriving on time or if you bring too much baggage (the limits are really low).
My friends have just booked a flight to London Heathrow from Manchester International Airport at the end of September this year for £0.00 the flight is costing them nothing but the taxes and surcharges are £48 each flying with BMI.
On those flights, though, you still have to pay a lot of tax which is actually more than the cost of the flight.
you can fly to Madrid & back with BA & Airmiles for £6 + airport tax (without using any airmiles)
Ryanair have cheap flights all over europe. You need to book a while in advance to get the really cheap ones, especially if you're flying at busy times. My husband and I flew to Venice from Germany for 45euros (about 30 pounds) each return, inc. taxes. Easyjet also have cheap fares from more UK airports. Look out for the sales too, if you register with the airlines they send you emails when they have special offers on! Happy hunting!
These companies that advertise flights for a penny and all that will have in the small print that it is one way and does not include tax. Depending on where you are travelling to that can add about 100GBP - 150 GBP onto the cost of the ticket. They will then over-charge to get you home. Read the small print carefully. I run a company based in the U.K called Explore Latin Carib. We are prefferred partners of Virgin Atlantic and can get cheap rates all over the world. Give us a call 0870 432 6500 U.K number
i've flown probably 60 times on ryan air and the true price depends on the airport taxes where you are landing and how many tickets for the particular flight they have already sold as well as the time of year. I've had round trips to Piza Italy repeatedly for 35 euro. from germany. As my work requires constant travel this has been great for seeing my family. They offer a visa card to which is a little high intrest but you get a free flight for signing up as well as 10% discount on every flight you book with it. Very useful for frequent travel.
