Is my car battery 12v?
Answers:
Look for an open hook up (called a fuseable link usually in OM) located in your fuse box. If not provided you can buy an in line fuse at the AP Store. Some times I just splice into the cig liter wire if I want power all the time.
ALL cars from the last 40 years or so are 12v
Yes, your battery is 12 volts. You can hook it to anything with power, like the cigarette lighter.
yes car battery iz 12 V
Unless your car is 45-50 years old or a golf cart it is 12v
If your car was made after 1956 it is most likely 12 volt. Some older ones are 6 volt and some of those had a positve ground system.
it probably is a 12 volt,if you got a newer year.most of the 6 volt cars were back in the 50s and 60s,but iam assuming its a 12 volt system.
Make sure you get the polarity right, Red is Positive Black is Negative or Earth. Connecting an electrical devise the wrong way will damage it (In most Cases anyway)
you would be better tapping into the wires for the ciggy lighter or something else that will go off when you turn off the ignition - that way if you leave it on it wont flatten your battery
yes but make sure there's an inline fuse fitted.
yes
Your car is probably 12volt unless it is a Diesel where it might be 24volts or be 12 volt with a 24 volt starting system. Whatever you do you should not wire whatever it is direct to your battery you should find the correct circuit and go though the vehicles existing fuse box (as there is usually a vacant place for accessory's) or wire in though and in line fuse to prevent any electrical fires at a later date.
Yes it is a 12 volt system, If you choose to run the power wire from the battery or an alternative power source (fusebox) make sure you install an in line fuse in the circuit to avoid an electrical fire. good luck
