Any tips on buying a second hand ford focus?
Answers:
get a Chevy Cobalt. Rated 5/5 by consumers and about the same price as the Focus. The Cobalt is a more reliable car than any Ford or Toyota. A Pontiac Vibe is essentially a rebadged Toyota Matrix.
P.S. Toyota had more recalls than any other company and Ford had more than GM and DaimlerChrysler combined. The Fords were not just simple things, more like falling apart wheels and exploding engines
YES DONT BUY ONE!!!
ya..dont
yes. Don't!
auto trader or exchange and mart on your local garage
check to see if has 4 wheels
I test drove one, recently. The seats were bad. No support for the lower back. Very little side support. I did not buy one.
they are great cars
just make sure that if the car has done over 40k that it has had the timming belt changed, ford say that it ok for 100k but thats a bit far fetched.
also check all electrics esp. the indication cancelation mech on the steering columb this sometimes goes, not a major prob but gets annoying having to turn them off yourself
also fault with rear left side stop lamp keep blowing all the time
just some minor faults!
depends on the modle year and other **** i would buy my buddy dan has a steeda focus it is really badass i love and a stock one you can do a lot to the are a great handleing car but it all depends what you want it for
Go for it fella, I had a 1.8 Zetec it went like hell and cornered like it was on rails !
They are quite good cars im a mot tester and the only thing they ever fail on is front discs and pads, rear wheel bearings and anti-roll stabalizer bars
ihad a 1.8tdci estate,i absolutely loved the car it had done 50000miles when sadly someone decided to torch it one night,it was like **** off a shovel, and great economy.
I then bought a focus C Max 2.0 tdci, and again have not been dissapointed, not a lot difference in performance.its currently on 30000mls and no problems.I can only speak as i find ,buy one with service history and no more than average mileage, and cant see you going far wrong.
be fussy about buying them. there are lots available to choose from
check it has an engine and four wheels
